When planning their new-build home, the homeowners wanted energy performance built in from the start.
Their goal was to generate more of their own electricity, store surplus energy and reduce reliance on imported power. Battery storage was central to that plan, helping them use more of the solar electricity produced at home.
aes renewables designed an integrated renewable energy system around the way the household uses energy every day.
Rather than treating each technology separately, the system was designed to work as 1 setup. Solar generation, hot water, battery storage and EV charging all support the home’s efficiency and energy independence.
The homeowners now have greater control over how and when they use the energy their home produces.
The Tesla Powerwall stores surplus solar electricity during the day, so it can be used later when demand is higher. This helps support evening energy use and electric vehicle charging.
The solar thermal system also provides renewable hot water, reducing the need to use imported energy for another part of daily life.
Solar PV, battery storage, solar thermal and EV charging help the household make better use of renewable energy produced on site.
