Our story
From the UK’s longest-established solar installer to aes renewables today
The people behind every project. Our work is shaped by the people who design, install and support each system. Together, they bring practical skill, care and long-term commitment to every stage.

Many of our people have grown their skills with aes renewables over time, learning from each other and building hands-on experience across renewable energy, electrical and heating systems.
That experience is shared every day, in the conversations we have, the details we check and the way we support customers from first enquiry to long-term care.
The people behind every project, from first conversation to long-term support
Our design team turns each customer’s needs into a practical renewable energy system. They look at the property, energy use and technical detail, then shape a design that is clear, considered and built around real conditions.
Our project managers keep each project moving in the right direction. They coordinate the people, plans and details, making sure communication stays clear from first approval through to installation.
Our installation teams bring practical skill, care and attention to every site. From solar PV and solar thermal to battery storage, heat pumps and EV charging, they work carefully to install each system to recognised standards.
Our support team stays close to customers after installation, helping with monitoring, servicing, maintenance and practical advice. It means customers have people they can speak to, and support they can rely on for the long term.

Apprenticeships are a big part of who we are. More than 20% of our team are current or former apprentices, learning alongside experienced colleagues and building practical skills on real projects.
By developing people within the business, we protect the quality of our work and create opportunities for the people who will help shape Scotland’s renewable energy future.
aes renewables has been part of Moray and Highland communities for nearly 50 years. We support our local area through tree planting, volunteering, education and community sponsorship.
Inside the business, we work hard to create a fair, respectful and supportive culture. Our Living Wage commitment and Investors in People accreditation reflect that, alongside the care our teams bring to customers, colleagues and the communities around us.
