Our story
From the UK’s longest-established solar installer to aes renewables today
9.5 kWh
36 panels
16.2 kWp
Portmahomack Golf Club was looking for a Solar PV system, with no existing PV in place.
The club was also interested in understanding what funding support might be available for renewable energy projects, including CARES funding.
aes renewables installed a 16.2 kWp Solar PV system with 36 Solar PV modules and 9.5 kWh of battery storage.
The system was designed to help the club generate energy onsite and make practical use of battery storage as part of the wider setup.
The system is expected to generate 11,202 kWh of solar energy each year.
With Solar PV and battery storage in place, Portmahomack Golf Club has taken a positive step towards lowering its environmental impact and supporting local sport.
This project works because it combines generation and storage in one practical system.
For a community sports club, that means renewable energy can become part of everyday operations, supporting the site now and for the long term.
If your club, venue or community organisation is looking at Solar PV or battery storage, we’ll help you understand what could work for your site.
